Day 12 - Piggytails~

FINALLY, enough hair for piggytails~~~

Day 11 - twirly~

Haileyroo twirls her hair daily and every night to comfort herself to sleep. I am surprised that she still has any hair on the top of her head, because it is in such a knot that I have to cut the knots out on a regular basis..... Today, we converted her crib into the toddler bed. She was so EXCITED because she is a big girl now!

Day 7 - Thinking of my Dad & Grandpa

I am always reminded of my Dad & Grandpa whenever I see different types of trees and the seeds. My Dad was in management at Tsemeta Nursery.

Tsemeta Nursery is a branch of the Hoopa Valley Tribal Forestry Department, and provides the Hoopa Tribe the ability to re-plant it's recently logged units with native seedlings.

My grandfather was in the logging business for years. I actually LOVE trees and am very fascinated with the texture, color, shape, size, etc. I love listening to them both talk trees.

This tree is on my property and has hundreds of pine cones. I've been wanting to learn to collect and regrow myself. Someday~

Day 6 - Silver Bells Laughing

my 2 year old spent almost an entire hour hanging the same 5 silver bells all in a row on the same branch, every time she would be putting the last bell on, they would all fall off the tree and she would have to start over, since I laughed out loud the first time, each time it happened she would start laughing and we would all laugh~~~ the joy of teaching a child to LAUGH through adversity.
