Day 124 - nature walk

this photo has a lot of meaning to me...
i used to play in mud puddles as a child
i've always encouraged my girls to play in mud puddles too
i love paths
this is a beautiful photo to me
and my girls just played in this mud puddle~

~ texture ~
all the face expressions ~ ♥them
i am happiest outdoors, in the fresh air, enjoying nature, the texture of nature, the colors of nature
i like that i captured the rock going into the water
childhood nostalgia~
love the reflection of the sky in the water
who knew how memorable the walk would be
now when we are driving across the bridge coming into La Center
the girls look off to the right and say "there is the bridge we walked on, remember?"
yes, i'll always remember
i love the color and texture of this bridge, perfect place for a little photo op of my girls
loved how the clouds seem to frame the girls
beautiful ~ calming ~ refreshing
i love the angle, colors and texture of the rail
and documenting the size of my children's hands
pathways, stairways, journeys
"OH! THE PLACES YOU'LL GO"

Day 100 - worker bee

I watched this little worker bee for a long while, it was such a beautiful thing to see him buzzing around from flower to flower... I was more amazed to see the load of pollen that he was carrying. unfortunately I didn't get a good photo of that and the girls and I were on our way to the library

Day 58 - Project Spring

preparing the yard and garden for spring, planting bulbs for a beautiful Easter show, this is the first year I've been able to plan ahead since we moved to our 5acres. gathering all my clay pots, because it is fun to add the different dimension... I always think back to my great grandmother Downings beautiful property in Willow Creek, CA. I discovered about 10 years ago, that when I plan what I want my home and property to look like that my gg.Katherine has a powerful impact on the emotions I want to convey to the family and friends that come to visit me. I know that it took her years to create the beauty of her home, so I am planning. A sense of peace, beauty, abundance, thoughtfulness, love, welcome ~ HOME.

Day 56 - rock pathway

I am reading a book called 30 Days to a Sexier You, each page list a task to complete. p.50 says to PLANT SOME FLOWERS. So my girls and I went out to plant bulbs for spring flowers. I think all women want to be considered sexy. I guess I'm well on the path~
